Total Film Quiz

The movie quiz game of the Future magazine, launching in May.

LONDON, UK—APRIL 1, 2008—Hands-On Mobile™, the world's leading developer of connected games and applications, today announces a new agreement with Future, the special-interest media group to bring its popular movie brand, Total Film to mobile phones, in the new Total Film Quiz game. Developed by independent UK studio FinBlade, Total Film Quiz is scheduled to be released in May and will allow mobile users to enjoy Total Film's challenging quiz in the palm of their hand wherever and whenever they like.

Future's best-selling UK magazine, Total Film, was launched in April 1997, and has an average readership of over 490,000 (source NRS Jan to Dec 07) dedicated film fans every issue. The launch of the Total Film Quiz will be supported by Future across multiple channels including print and online.

"This launch is part of the continued expansion plan for Total Film through this year and it's great to be working with an established and respected partner," said Simon Maxwell, Group Publisher of Future's Film & TV portfolio. "The Total Film quiz is incredibly popular among our readers and this is a natural extension for us and we are delighted that more people will now be able to engage with Total Film and test their film knowledge through their mobile phones."

The Total Film Quiz will offer film lovers thousands of unique questions, with multiple choice answers, about hundreds of films from a variety of genres – all in Total Film's unique and irreverent style. Players can choose between two modes, Total Film Buff mode where they earn points for each correct answer or, for the truly knowledgeable, Survival Mode where players receive a battery of questions until they give an incorrect answer.

"Total Film is a magazine with a great reputation among film buffs and critics alike," said Greg Robinson, President and General Manager of Hands-On Mobile EMEA. "Future will be supporting this title with a number of promotions across its considerable portfolio of magazines and websites, so this game will be launched with much anticipation. We are also delighted to be working with a developer as inventive as FinBlade on this release."
