Torque Game Engine

iPhone support added.

For Immediate Release

Eugene, OR, July, 24th 2008 -- GarageGames, the leading technology provider for independent game developers worldwide, has announced that their Torque engine now supports the iPhone. Game developers working with Torque can now leverage the technology's ground-breaking 2D- and 3D-specific functionality to create games and other rich, interactive applications for the iPhone.

"We've already seen enormous interest in the iPhone within the Torque community. Game developers want to make games for the iPhone and this is a natural step since we're already a very good choice for developing OSX games," said Brett Seyler, GarageGames VP of Business Development. "Apple has been great to work with in the past and the very polished iTunes Store as a marketplace for games should encourage developers to continue pushing boundaries on the iPhone without worrying about the usual publishing and distribution difficulties involved in making a successful mobile game."

In addition to support for the iPhone, GarageGames' Torque game development technology is compatible with Mac, PC, Wii, Xbox 360, and GarageGames' own web-based InstantAction.com. Licensing and other details about Torque for the iPhone are available from GarageGames website ( www.garagegames.com) and via email at licensing@garagegames.com.
