Requesting a flyby of PlayStation Home.
It takes a lot more than fancy flying to celebrate the upcoming launch of Paramount Digital Entertainment's Top Gun on PlayStation ® Network for PlayStation ® 3 (PS3 TM ) computer entertainment system, so over the upcoming weeks fans can look forward to a variety of special events and prizing themed around the movie and game in PlayStation ® Home.
From August 12th-August 16th, PlayStation Home users who join their friends in the Central Plaza Theatre to watch the new Top Gun video game trailer will receive a redemption code for a free Top Gun t-shirt for their avatar. Everyone who has received their new threads are invited to join the writer of the film, Jack Epps, Jr. for a Troop Parade at 5pm PDT/ 8pm EDT August 16th and take souvenir pictures with their friends in Central Plaza, in celebration of the game's launch the following day.
Beginning on August 19th, there will be four consecutive days of Top Gun scavenger hunts throughout Central Plaza. Players will search for trivia questions hidden in Top Gun posters to earn prizes including downloads of the film, game, and more Top Gun virtual goods.
In the weeks following the launch of the Top Gun video game, fans can also look forward to signature Top Gun virtual goods for sale, including Maverick's classic bomber jacket, flight suits, officer and pilot uniforms, and more!

About Top Gun
Exclusively for PlayStation Network, Top Gun is a free-flying air combat shooter based on the iconic film. Top Gun expands the legend of Maverick, Iceman and the rest of the Top Gun flyers through new dialogue, all-new story elements and expanded Indian Ocean active combat written by the film's screenwriter, Jack Epps, Jr. As Maverick, players will go up against the best of the best at Top Gun Academy with their Radar Intercept Officer (RIO), Goose. Following graduation, players will take on Soviet MiGs over the Indian Ocean. While shooting down enemy fighter jets, defending and attacking bases and engaging in large-scale dogfight battles, Maverick will test the limits of his plane, his new RIO and his wingman, Iceman. Top Gun also features five multiplayer modes, allowing up to sixteen players to battle it out online.
Top Gun was developed by doublesix, the recent award winner of Spike's "Video Game Awards" for "Best Game Based on a Movie or TV Show" category. Top Gun is now available to download on PlayStation ® Network for $14.99. It is rated T by the ESRB. Top Gun will be available for the Mac and PC in 2010.
