Top Game Recruiting Firm Adds VP of Marketing to Team

Fiona Cherbak Also Runs for IGDA Board of Directors

Tuesday, February 12, 2008--- Fort Lauderdale, FL---GameRecruiter announced today the addition of marketing executive Fiona Cherbak to their world-class game industry recruiting team. Cherbak is coming on board as vice president of marketing to provide development and management of GameRecruiter's marketing strategy.

Cherbak is bringing nearly 20 years of marketing, publicity, business development and executive recruitment experience to her new role as vice president of marketing at GameRecruiter. Cherbak has developed global strategies and spearheaded numerous high-profile marketing campaigns for games industry organizations and companies. As a business development director and senior account manager for companies in interactive entertainment recruitment, she has created lasting client relationships and expertly filled key positions for leading games companies in a variety of departments and at all levels, including senior executive roles.

Additionally, Cherbak was recently nominated for election to the IGDA Board of Directors. Cherbak's platform is focused on creating further solutions to issues such as quality of life, workplace diversity and gender inclusion, as well as to increase opportunities for the game community to participate in IGDA initiatives and programs Cherbak is also committed to seeking out critical strategic partnerships and funding sources that will help the IGDA achieve its global goals and provide more accessible education and resources for game students and industry newcomers. Cherbak offers, "I am a passionate advocate and volunteer for the games industry. I've participated as a volunteer for numerous trade associations, providing leadership, as well as expertise in PR, business development, and strategy, which has enabled these organizations to advance their objectives on a global basis and establish permanency in their target communities. If elected, I look forward to contributing the same energy and resources to the IGDA, in collaboration with my industry peers, IGDA members and the IGDA Board of Directors."
