Tira Wireless to Add Support for Microsoft Windows Mobile to Tira Jump Product Suite

Expanded Support for Multiple Mobile Operating Systems will Enable Application Publishers to Maximize Revenues Through Broader Device Reach

SAN FRANCISCO-March 20, 2006-GDC Mobile 2006-Tira Wireless, the premier provider of advanced technology for mobile content deployment, today announced that it will be adding support for Microsoft Windows Mobile to the Tira Jump Product Suite. With broad support for multiple mobile operating systems and content types, users of the Tira Jump Product Suite will be able to quickly adapt and manage mobile content for deployment on diverse handsets available in the market today. The Windows Mobile platform powers more than 100 devices available worldwide from mobile operators such as Cingular, Orange, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile.

The Tira Jump Product Suite enables mobile content developers and publishers to control, adapt, optimize and deploy mobile applications - from simple puzzles to complex multiplayer, multilevel, highly networked games and applications - across more than 500 different handsets, in a variety of international languages and mobile operator networks. Windows Mobile devices will be profiled by Tira Wireless and added to the Tira Jump Knowledgebase, which currently includes a library of more than 2,500 device idiosyncrasies and workarounds.

"We are committed to providing users of Windows Mobile based devices with an easy-to-use platform and a variety of applications for work or play," said Chris Hill, group product manager at Microsoft. "With Tira's planned support for the Windows Mobile platform, mobile content developers will be able to reach a broader audience of Windows Mobile users, while end users gain access to content that takes advantage of the features offered in these devices."

Windows Mobile software powers advanced, easy-to-use devices that enable users to send and receive e-mail, browse the Internet, and work on mobile versions of familiar Office software. Windows Mobile features productivity applications such as Microsoft Office Word Mobile, Excel® Mobile and PowerPoint® Mobile; provides persistent memory storage for more efficient data management; and offers a powerful multimedia experience enabled by Windows Media® Player 10 Mobile. Devices currently running the Windows Mobile platform include smartphones such as the Cingular 2125 and Pocket PC Phones like the Palm Treo 700w.

"To maximize revenues from mobile content, our customers need to ensure their applications can be deployed across the greatest number of operator networks and devices," said Doug Barre, CEO of Tira Wireless. "Windows Mobile powers many popular devices currently on the market, and by supporting this platform, publishers and developers using the Tira Jump Product Suite to deploy their content will have the intelligence required to extend their device reach and maximize revenues."
