Tilting point launches $12m user acquisition fund for mobile devs

“Game Alliance is a direct response to the marketing and UA realities facing independent developers"

Tilting Point, a company that provides marketing and publishing services for independent developers, has expanded to offer assistance specifically with user acquisition, which has become a key for mobile titles. The new Game Alliance fund has kicked off with an initial commitment of $12 million from Tilting Point, which noted that the fund is designed for developers who want to self-publish, maintain ownership of their IP and retain all their equity. Resources will be applied to globally released games showing traction in the marketplace, Tilting Point said.

"With the lion's share of top-grossing games coming from well-funded and often publicly traded companies, scale is a must for success in today's increasingly competitive mobile landscape. So many great titles miss their full potential due to a simple lack of UA muscle," said Dan Sherman, co-founder and president of Tilting Point. "Game Alliance is a direct response to the marketing and UA realities facing independent developers, built with the financial resources, experience and direction needed to climb the charts."

With Game Alliance, Tilting Point participates in the profits made on a title but the company assumes all of the risk for each UA campaign. More information about the fund and how to apply is available on the official website.
