THQ reduces projected sales as Red Faction delayed

$40-$65 million drop in estimated sales revenues for fiscal 2011

THQ's projected, non-GAAP sales figures for 2011 suffered a blow last night as it was revealed that the company's lead title, Red Faction: Armageddon, would be delayed until later in the year, and into fiscal 2012.

Previously, THQ had projected fiscal non-GAAP net sales of $845-$865 million (£545.5 to £561.5m) for 2011, and a rough break even on share price.

Following yesterday's news, the company readjusted that to fiscal 2011 non-GAAP net sales of $800 to $825 million (£519.3 to £535.5m) and a non-GAAP loss per share of $0.10 to $0.20 (£0.065 to £0.13).

The fiscal 2012 release schedule is now slated to include a new MX Vs. ATV title, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and a new Saints Row game, alongside Red Faction: Armageddon.
