The world's first truly mobile 3D game launches beta testing

5th September 2006

The team behind the long-awaited social community game Galaxylife is inviting 1,000 lucky gamers to get involved and try it out. The selected gamers will get to test the multiplayer online game and evaluate the prototype. Their valuable feedback will help to build the foundations of the new virtual galaxy and those that take part will be rewarded with future gaming privileges.

Galaxylife has been in development for nearly three years and provides an all encompassing experience that is playable anytime and anywhere. It is the world's first 3D game that allows users to connect and play through a range of interfaces including a mobile phone, PDA, Windows PC, Mac, Linux and Smartphone. Both the beta and the final game will be free to play.

Galaxylife incorporates adventure, quest, collaboration, chat and fun in real time and true 3D and provides one of the most significant additions to the gaming sector for many years. Every player starts the game with their own planet to explore and develop. The gaming community is particularly excited by the way Galaxylife will allow players to influence how the game works for all other players through the 'galactic council' political system.

1,000 testers will be randomly selected from the applicants who meet the minimum system requirements. These beta testers will be notified throughout July and will receive an exclusive pack containing rare virtual items that will give them substantial advantages in the game. These include a unique logo and ID that will give instant recognition and elevated status, along with a highly anticipated Gold Crown; an elite currency that will allow betas to purchase various unique items in the future.

All feedback on the beta will then be used to continue the development of the final Galaxylife game and address any programming, cosmetic or ethical issues that are found through the trial.

A second trial stage will follow the completion of the beta testing. The pioneer programme will commence at the end of August, and early gamers are already signing up. The 2,000 Pioneers will assume the role of early adopters of the game and, like our beta testers, will be rewarded with various unique virtual items.

Anne O'Rourke, director of Galaxylife, says:

"Our Beta Testers are vital to us and will have the unique opportunity to help us make sure that the Galaxylife game is completely brilliant! We'll be working really closely with them every step of the way and we know that the rewards we're offering will match their skills and efforts."

Galaxylife will make the full version of its online world available in September this year after launching at the Austin Games Conference in Texas. Individuals interested in becoming involved with the testing phase should visit www.galaxylife.com for more information.
