TEKKEN 6 Global Championship Final

Tokyo, Japan---Tuesday, March 2--- UFragTV announced today their exclusive role as web television broadcaster for NAMCO BANDAI Games’ TEKKEN® 6 Global Championship Final held in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, March 7, 2010. After a strenuous set of battles across North America, Europe and, Asia, the top four TEKKEN 6 opponents from each region will test their fighting skills against each other for top prizes.

American-based UFragTV will cover the entire TEKKEN 6 tournament, complete with multiple screens watching the players and fiber-optic Internet connection, so viewers won't miss a moment of the action. From 10 p.m. - 3 a.m. PST on Saturday March 6 (3 p.m. - 8 p.m. Japan local time, Sunday, March 7) the challengers will play down a 16-player bracket, in full 1080i HD Resolution. UFragTV’s broadcast crew and on-air hosts will be there to catch all the action, streaming live to their web site, available across the globe at www.ufrag.tv/.

To celebrate the latest installment of the top-selling fighting video game franchise, three TEKKEN 6 tournaments were held across the world, including invigorating battles in San Francisco, North America; PAL/European regions and Asia. Prizes included cash, life-size game character statues and arcade units. The winners of each tournament received an all-expense paid trip to Tokyo, Japan, to compete on behalf of their respected region. The top four players of each tournament (two for Xbox 360® and two for PlayStation®3) are to meet up for the final showdown on March 7, 2010.

The championship finals will take place across a large portion of the day on March 7, 2010 (Japan Local Time) and will give the ultimate bragging rights to two victorious winners, across a double elimination-style tournament. Each round will last 60 seconds and match winners will be determined by a best of three fights. Each fight will be based on winning three out of five rounds. In hopes for an edge, players are allowed to bring and use their own equipment, including fight sticks, after it has been carefully examined by NAMCO BANDAI Games staff. The winners land a trophy and a round-the-world trip, with the runners up winning a trophy and a home theater system.
