TAKE ON THE PROJECT GOTHAM RACING DEVELOPERS AT THEIR OWN GAME!

Everyone can rev up to take part during Xbox Live® free week

UK, 21st September 2006 - Xbox Live® members have another chance to take on Bizarre Creations (the creators of Project Gotham Racing®) in a Developer Showdown - gamers versus designers.

On Monday 25th September at 18.00 GMT/19.00 CET, Xbox Live members from across Europe will have the chance to take on Alan Mealor and Chris Pickford from Bizarre Creations playing Project Gotham Racing 3, the game that they helped to develop.

The event is taking place as part of the Xbox Live Free Week, sponsored by Windows Live Spaces. Xbox is offering European gamers a chance to experience Xbox Live for over a week, absolutely free, from 20th to 29th September, 2006. Multiplayer, fully connected gaming action, including the ability to choose from a full calendar of events such as competitions and Game With Fame sessions, is usually only available to Xbox Live Gold members. However, on 20th September at 00.01 local time, Xbox will flick the switch, giving gamers in Europe full access and the chance to see what everyone is talking about, until the free trial ends on 29th September at 23.59 local time.

To make sure you can access Xbox Live during the free week, all you need to do is plug a broadband cable into the back of your Xbox 360 console. This will give you the standard Xbox Live Silver membership which will be upgraded automatically on 20th September. Then you'll get instant access to connected, multiplayer gaming, retro-style Xbox Live Arcade titles, the latest game demos, movie trailers, music videos plus participate in all the exciting events on the Xbox Live Calendar!

The lucky gamers selected to play will be taking on Alan Mealor, Art Lead and Chris Pickford, Associate Producer who were part of the PGR 3 developer team.

Alan joined Bizarre Creations as a City Modeller in 2002, as part of the team making PGR2, working on Barcelona, Sydney and Long Beach for DLC. From there he has worked on PGR3 as an Art Lead, first on Tokyo and later on Las Vegas. He's currently leading an art team working on something new and top secret!

Chris started his career in Bizarre Creations at the tender age of 16 testing the acclaimed racing title Metropolis Street Racer for SEGA Dreamcast. In the five and a half years that followed Chris worked over four consoles and is now the Associate Producer on the PGR team. He still can't unlock the TVR Speed 12 on PGR2, even though he helped write the career mode.
