Swedish Game Developers Appoint New Managing Director

Malmö, Sweden - February 24, 2005

Per StrömbTMck - previously Publishing Manager at PAN Vision - was on Monday appointed Managing Director of Association of Swedish Game Developers (ASGD). He replaces Andreas Poike who has been running operations since the association was founded in 2003.

Per StrömbTMck has a thorough background in the Swedish games industry, both from development as a co-owner of Monsterland (Rock Manager and other titles) and in the past three years from publishing in different roles at PAN Vision (Scandinavia's largest independent publisher and distributor of video- and computer games).

- Leading ASGD is an exciting and fun challenge for me, says Per StrömbTMck. My predecessor Andreas Poike has done a terrific job putting the organisation in place and structuring the information flow with web pages and news letters. Now, my most important priorities will be recruiting new members and working with financing issues for the industry.

Andreas Poike will continue to work with ASGD, responsible for information gathering, news letters, and other information related issues.

- It is great for ASGD to get a Managing Director who can give the association full focus, says Andreas Poike. I am convinced that Per StrömbTMck with his experience from the publishing business, is the man for the job and I look forward to working with him.

- ASGD is now entering its second phase and expanding its activities, says Martin Walfisz, chairman of ASGD. With his genuine background in the Swedish games industry, Per StrömbTMck has the experience we need to take ASGD to the next level and my expectations are high.

ASGD is a non-profit association with the purpose of looking after Swedish game developing companies' interests. Aside from trade organisations traditional responsibilities of member and information services, ASGD actively work with financing issues, government relations, international publisher contacts, et cetera. The association was founded in 2003 and currently Digital Illusions CE, Massive Entertainment, and Starbreeze Studios are members. www.asgd.se
