Submissions open for 2017 Independent Games Festival

Submission deadline is October 24

Submissions are now open for the 2017 Independent Games Festival. Hopeful developers have until October to apply, and the competition is open to all independent game developers worldwide.

The entry fee is $75 (or $25 for students) and give developers the chance to win $50,000 in prizes, in various categories, including the $30,000 Seumas McNally Grand Prize. More details about how to submit can be found at the official site.

"Last year's awards were an amazing selection of games that I feel not only echo the voices of our community, but also reflect how far we've all come as an industry. I'm really looking forward to discover what this new year has in store!," said chairperson Kelly Wallick.

"I'm also excited that we are presenting the alt.ctrl.GDC Award during the IGF ceremony this year - these games and interactive experiences bring so much joy and curiosity, and it's wonderful that we can honor them during our event."

Last year Her Story won the Seumas McNally Grand Prize for Best Independent Game and $30,000 at the IGF Awards.
