Street Gears

Easter events afoot.

Press Release

For immediate release

Dublin, Ireland – April 1st, 2010 – A new large content update for Street Gears, the free cel-shaded inline skating MMO is available from today and includes a brand new track and many new community features. The Street Gears team also talked to the Easter bunny to bring you some cool and trendy prizes. All you have to do is joining our several Easter events and with a little luck players will be rewarded generously.

Let’s start with the new track that apparently emerged out of the blue, due to some tectonic activities from the sea near Paraka beach. It was reported that Dr. Brown’s archaeology team did some research on the new island and found the tracks of an unknown, ancient civilisation. Geological researches proved that the island had sunk thousands of years before and re-emerged today. Ready for the challenge? Discover the ‘Lost Island’ from today.

Easter time = fun time from April 1st-15th 2010 as the Street Gears team has prepared some events for all Riders in Park Town. Join the “Easter Egg Hunt” and find eggs in form of text or ASCII code that are well hidden on our website, Twitter and Facebook. Be creative and participate the “Easter Egg Colouring Event”. Just take a screenshot and add some Easter eggs – he best three screenshots will be rewarded.

Do your skills lie in racing, rather than hunting or painting? No problem, just put on your skates and challenge your friends or other Riders in the “Easter Race”. This Item Time Attack race is available for three different level ranges with one track each. Be fast as the ten best times of each range will get fantastic prizes.

The new content update also brings some new and updated community features. The chat feature has been expanded and is now available everywhere in the game, with new emoticons, and new chat filters to make chatting more pleasurable. The new instant tutorial quests will also help new players to understand and access Street Gears quickly and easily.
