Streamline Studios' Alexander Fernández to Speak at GC Asia Conference

Alexander Fernández from Streamline Studios to Deliver Keynote on Outsourcing at GC Asia Conference 2007

GC Asia Conference (GCAC)

(September 6-7, 2007)

Leipzig, Germany - September 1, 2007 - The GC Asia Conference (September 6-7) today announced that Alexander Fernández (CEO, Streamline Studios) will deliver a keynote on the growing topic of outsourcing entitled, "The Rising Value of Content Capital." GCAC 2007 will be held alongside the GC Asia exhibition, September 6-9, at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Center. In addition to the issue of outsourcing, GCAC will focus on mobile and online games as well as networking opportunities for developers and publishers from the Asia-Pacific region, North America, and Europe.

Today, a global community of knowledge workers creates the content that fuels the videogame industry. These creators are spread across multiple continents with variable pay and working conditions, yet they all face similar challenges and opportunities. Alexander Fernández will focus his keynote on the importance of the knowledge worker in today's content-driven games sector, and the necessity of recognizing the value - the content capital - they create. The topic will also cover the shared challenges and opportunities for the content creation sector and the developers and publishers they serve.

A founding member of Streamline Studios, Alexander Fernández has served as the company's CEO since 2002. He helped to build the company from a fledgling creative studio into an internationally recognized creator of digital content for top interactive entertainment franchises such as Gears of War, Saint's Row, and Ghost Recon 2 as well as an independent developer of its own IP. Alexander also serves as director of business development for BGIn, the Benelux Game Initiative, and the European Games Developer Federation.

"We view GC Asia as a key forum for addressing both the opportunities and challenges of the emerging content creation sector in Asia," said Alexander Fernández. "With game development ever more a global phenomenon, it's the perfect time to address the implications for all parties involved: creators and publishers alike."
