Strategic Command WWII Pacific Theater

After-action report posted.

31 October 2008 --- Battlefront.com and Fury Software have released an entertaining After-Action Report form the upcoming strategy game "Strategic Command WW2 Pacific Theater". The After-Action Report is taken from one of the included campaigns, "Guadalcanal 1942", and is played versus a Japanese Computer Opponent.

>>> On the 7th August 1942 the 1st Marine division landed on Guadalcanal and Tulagi to capture Japanese airfields before they could be completed. Task Force 62 was sent to deliver and support the invasion. Japanese units on Tulagi resisted strongly to start with but were soon crushed. On Guadalcanal there was little resistance at first. TF62 divided itself up into three flotillas and guarded the entrances to Ironbottom Sound (as it would soon be known) to protect the US troops from Japanese shore bombardment. The following excerpts are taken from radio communications from the key US military personnel involved as we follow the progress of the invasion.
