Storm

September 27, 2010 - Social Loner Studios is proud to announce the release of their newest game,  STORM.  The title is now available for purchase on XBox 360 Indie Games for 80 Microsoft points.  

STORM is a Steam Punk style 2D physics game where the player must defend their bases by fire bullets to deflect dark meteors. In addition, STORM allows up to 4 players to work together against the meteor flurry.  To keep the game exciting and to offer replayability, the game is procedurally generated, making sure that each round of action is different from previous experience.

"We wanted to branch away from trivia and make an action game that you and your friends could play together."  said Brian Anderson, lead game designer at Social Loner Studios.  "And we though big black balls of death would be awesome!"

Game features:

·         Multi-player - 1 to 4 players can play on your local Xbox 360

·         Procedurally generated game play so that each round is different

·         Collect power-ups to assit against the storm

o    Shields for extra protection

o    Energy power-up for a continus stream of bullets

o    Power Shot makes every shot much stronger

·         Track your high scores locally on your Xbox 360

·         Customize the soundtrack - listen to your own music stored on your Xbox 360

About Social Loner Studios

Social Loner Studios is an independent game studio founded in 2008.  We are intent on creating games that we ourselves would like to play. Our first release was the critically acclaimed "What The?! Party Trivia Game" and placed in the top 20 of Microsoft’s 2009 Dream Build Play.

This is our third release for the XBox 360.  Social Loner Studios is the formation of 3 core members.  Brian Anderson - Lead programmer/designer, Kenneth Anderson - Artist/designer, and Joshua Leung - Sound Engineer/designer.
