Stolar joins Trilogy Studios board

Trilogy Studios has announced that former SCEA and Sega America president Bernie Stolar has joined the company's board of advisors

Trilogy Studios has announced that former SCEA and Sega America president Bernie Stolar has joined the company's board of advisors.

The company, founded in 2005 by former EA and Vivendi Universal execs, recently raised USD 3.2 million in a second round of independent equity funding.

Stolar has over 30 years of experience in the games industry with companies such as Atari and Mattel Interactive, including a stint as the first president of SCEA and president of Sega America, where he presided over the launch of the Dreamcast console.

He became an advisor to Adscape Media in 2005, which was purchased by Google and renamed AdSense for Games in 2007.

"Michael Pole and I have collaborated on a number of successful game projects over the years, and I view him as one of the most creative and forward-thinking people I've ever worked with," said Stolar.

"I trust in Michael's vision, so when he asked me to join him in this emerging space, I was thrilled."

Based in Santa Monica, California, Trilogy Studios designed and launched MTV Networks' online virtual world, Virtual "Pimp My Ride" and is currently expanding its virtual world and casual MMO business.
