Square targets April completion for Eidos acquisition

Buyout of Tomb Raider publisher expected within months

Square Enix is proposing that the acquisition of UK publisher Eidos is completed by late April.

According to the publisher's planned schedule, shareholders in the company are due to vote on the acquisition on March 27, and if agreed, Square Enix will take ownership of Eidos on April 22.

Eidos stakeholders have already backed the deal, including Warner Bros., which owns approximately 20 per cent of the Tomb Raider publisher.

Square publicly announced its intentions to buy Eidos last month, as it expands its business in the West.
