Sprint and Namco team for free demos

Classic arcade IP on offer to US consumers

US tech firm Sprint has teamed up with developer Namco to offer a range of classic arcade game demos to consumers for free.

The promotion includes titles Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga and Dig Dug, and runs for twelve days over the festive period.

"Top game companies like Namco have shown great dedication to educating consumers by offering quality mobile game demos free this holiday season," said Joe Ariganello, product manager for Sprint.

"Consumers who may be new to mobile games now have and easy and fun entry into mobile gaming and we have a great selection of games that will keep them coming back for more."

Consumers can use the Sprint Digital Lounge website to browse, preview and purchase content, or download games directly over the air.

"As one of the leading carriers, Sprint is consistently recognised for its dedication to educating consumers about entertainment value that can be found on mobile devices," offered Scott Rubin, VP of sales at Namco.

"By partnering with them to offer free access to arcade classics, we see a great opportunity to increase consumer awareness and advance the mobile game industry," he added.
