Steven Spielberg has revealed details of the games he is currently working on for publisher Electronic Arts.

Although none have been named, the acclaimed movie director has been talking about his planned block puzzle game for the Wii, and a contemporary action title for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

"I am a gamer myself and game development has always intrigued me," said Spielberg.

"Now I've been able to jump in and do it, enjoying the creative collaboration with the EA LA team on our first two games and I feel we have two incredibly unique projects in development."

Spielberg signed up with EA in November 2005 for three titles, with another top secret game still under wraps.

The Wii project is a family-orientated puzzle game aimed at a multiplayer, social audience, while the action title promises epic story and interaction between the player and a female accomplice.

"I am truly enjoying the creative collaboration and we hope that gamers will be as excited as we are about what we can bring to the medium through our shared vision," added Spielberg.

No release dates have been announced for either project.

"Steven's vision as both a storyteller and a gamemaker makes partnering with him an incredible experience," said general manager Neil Young.

"Together we're making games that are unique and that we feel will each move the medium in their own way."

The collaboration is part of EA's concerted effort to create new and original intellectual properties.
