Speedball 2 features Team Skin Classic

Berlin, 2007-09-24: Besides having two team skins designed from scratch, Speedball 2 gives players the option of using a classic skin. As a tribute to the beloved Amiga and Atari game developer Kylotonn designed the additional team look in the tradition to the original players of the computer games classic. High resolution art of the three player classes with the new classic skin, screenshots of the Profile Editor and a reference picture of the old game can now be downloaded in an image packet from www.speedball2.com.

In the Profile Editor of the ambitious PC revival players can decide on the general outfit of their entire team by selecting one of three team skins to use across all three player classes. Therefore the new Amazon and Cyborg classes get dressed in classic skin just like their male companions. Besides the team skin, action-sports fans can choose the individual colours and labelling of the armour suits as well as a cool team tag in the three dimensional Profile Editor. Via the online game centre of Speedball 2 fans will even get the opportunity to imbed their own custom team tags in the style of their clan logos. Team colours and tags guarantee an individual appearance but do not have any influence on the skills of the characters on the field, in contrast to the different skills of the player classes.

Speedball 2 returns

In 2326, rival gangs form an ultra-violent streetsports league to settle their deadly disputes called Speedball 2. Two teams face each other in bloody battles for a steel ball. Nine on nine - in an all-out rush on the opponents' goal. Almost any malicious move is permitted. The winner of the matches secures supremacy over the city. In the third quarter of 2007, Frogster Interactive is set to publish Speedball 2 as the highly anticipated sequel to the Amiga classic. The new release for the PC platform transforms the futuristic game setting with state-of-the-art technology into a high-speed online sports spectacle. Offering international leagues, a worldwide ranking system and a virtual marketplace, Speedball 2 pulls all registers of modern multiplayer gaming action. With photo-realistic 3D models, breathtaking animations and futuristic arenas for Speedball 2, the French developer team, already renowned for the "Bet on Soldier" trilogy, heads for a stunning comeback. As eminent advisor and lead producer, Mike Montgomery will supervise all steps in the development of Speedball 2.
