Speakers announced for Hollywood and Games Summit

The initial line-up of speakers for this summer's Hollywood and Games Summit has been announced by the event's organisers, the CMP Game Group and the Hollywood Reporter.

The conference will kick off with an introductory speech by Jamil Moledina, director of the Game Developers Conference, and Hollywood Reporter editorial director Chris Marlowe. A keynote presentation will follow by an as yet unnamed speaker.

Village Roadshow CEO Steve Krone will deliver a speech on funding and financing models together with Shiny Entertainment founder Dave Perry. Neil Young, general manager for Electronic Arts LA, will give a presentation titled 'Who and How to Pitch.'

Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige and Treyarch producer Chris Archer will discuss the issues surrounding movie tie-ins with reference to the forthcoming Spider-Man 3 game. Marketing executives Tony Kee (Ubisoft) and Gordon Paddison (New Line) will give a presentation titled 'Building the Buzz for Collaborative Franchises.'

The event will conclude with a discussion between Xbox Live general manager Greg Canessa and Turner Network executive Dennis Quinn about 'The Future of Revenue and Distribution,' plus a speech by Steve Gray of EA LA on 'Cross-Pollinating Creative Techniques.'

More speakers will be announced as the event draws nearer. The Hollywood and Games Summit will take place on June 27th at the Beverly Hills Hotel - visit the event website to register.
