Charlottesville, Virginia - glimmerWave software has added OpenFeint support to its smash hit game Sonic Slug Bricks. Players can now earn OpenFeint Achievements and Points by defending Slug Worlds, sharing and downloading sound effects and accumulating SoundCloud followers.

Sonic Slug Bricks has redefined mobile arcade gaming with its innovative use of audio. Players use voice input to energize projectiles and trigger power ups. In an industry first, Sonic Slug Bricks uses the SoundCloud music sharing service as a back end to allow players to share and find sound effects. From the Sound Effect Editor screen users can record their own sound effects or quickly search SoundCloud for interesting sounds. They can even follow other players whose sound effects they like and can earn OpenFeint Achievements and Points if others follow them.

The game is simple but fast moving. Players use their Slug to protect precious vegetables from abduction while directing a ball to destroy brick blockades and enemy spaceships. All of the sound-activated power ups can also be triggered with a quick shake of the device and users can download a host of sounds from SoundCloud using any iPhone or iPod Touch.

Players can enhance the value of each brick they destroy and increase their scores by catching falling vegetables or by downloading enough sound effects to obtain the crystal, amber or jade orbs. There are seven Slug Worlds to unlock and explore as well as Survival mode which presents an endlessly replenished blockade.
