Singapore expands GDC presence

18 digital media companies and 4 educational institutions to travel to San Francisco

More companies from Singapore than ever before will descend on GDC this week with 18 businesses and 4 higher education facilities taking part in the Singapore Pavilion at the San Francisco event.

The Pavilion, organised by the country's trade association Games Exchange Alliance (GXA) with support from the government's Infocomm Development Authority department, follows on from last year's event which featured 13 companies.

"GXA works closely with agencies like IDA Singapore and IE Singapore to help promote the products and services of our Singapore IDM players, comprising games developers, publishers/distributors and service providers," said Aroon Tan, president of GXA.

"As part of our association's commitment in assisting the local gaming companies to grow their businesses in Singapore and beyond, GXA always stands as a united organisation representing the entire spectrum of the gaming industry so as to better facilitate interaction amongst one another."
