Shoot to Kill

Launch title from Jon Hare's new label, an iPhone shooter using the "Free for Freaks" payment model.

LONDON - August 12, 2010 – Tower Studios, a new publisher of games based on original and existing brands, launched today with a new publishing model and the company’s first title for iPhone and iPod Touch, Shoot to Kill. Tower Studios is led by Jon Hare, a games industry legend with more than 25 years of game development and publishing experience with companies including Sensible Software, Codemasters and Jagex. The company is focused on working with top-tier studios on original and licensed IPs that appeal to today’s core and emerging gaming markets. The company’s first partner is leading game development studio, Vivid Games.

“We want to be a different kind of publisher that brings those gameplay experiences we had in the arcade in the 80’s to a new generation,” said Jon Hare, CEO of Tower Studios. “with Vivid Games, we have our first partner to bring high-quality gaming experiences to market and we are doing it in true partnership where we work together for a common goal, unlike many relationships in the game publishing industry.”

“The Free for Freaks model really works with Shoot to Kill, which challenges players in a classic action shoot ‘em up game that will bring back memories of Smash TV and Doom,” said Remi Koscielny, CEO of Vivid Games. “Partnering with Tower Studios is giving us the opportunity to create some great original IP and work on licenses that are beloved by generations.”

Tower Studios currently has multiple titles in development and is actively looking to work with more developers and brands, especially those that fit the Free for Freaks model. For more information visit: www.tower-studios.com
