Shattered Horizon

Futuremark's zero-gravity FPS lined up for an August UK retail release by PQube.

London 27th May 2010: PQube Ltd, a leading UK based independent video games publisher and distributor, announced today the UK retail release of Shattered Horizon™ for PC. The instore launch date is scheduled for August 2010.

With Shattered Horizon the developers at Futuremark Games Studio have created a visually stunning, highly immersive FPS. Players fight in zero gravity surrounded by rocky debris from a massive explosion on the Moon. With simple and intuitive controls players have complete freedom of movement to create gameplay and tactics impossible in gravity constrained gaming. Shattered Horizon’s multiplayer combat in zero gravity delivers a sci-fi experience like no other game before.

“PQube is delighted to bring the innovative Shattered Horizon to retail. The game has already chalked up considerable online success and will soon be available to a wider PC gaming audience in a complete retail package”, commented Dave Pain, Managing Director of PQube Ltd., “Futuremark has consistently been a world leader in 3D performance benchmarking software for PC and this game is a testament to their attention to detail that we know gamers will love.”

“We are delighted to be working with PQube to bring a complete boxed edition of the game to traditional game retailers,” said Jukka Mäkinen, Futuremark CEO. “We invite all PC gamers looking for an FPS that offers something new and different to check out Shattered Horizon in their local games store from August this year.”

The critical acclaim already received for Futuremark Games Studio’s intense multiplayer FPS includes expert review feedback such as "Stunning vision and bullet-proof delivery", "One giant leap for FPS design", "An original game like this is a rarity" and “If you're in the market for a new shooter to play with some friends and experience something a bit more original than the typical FPS, this game is for you”.
