Shanda Licenses Emergent Technologies for Multi-game, Multi-platform Development

Deal with largest Chinese game publisher expands Emergent’s presence in growing Asian interactive entertainment market

SHANGHAI, China and CALABASAS, Calif. (March 9, 2006) - Shanda Interactive Entertainment (Nasdaq: SNDA), China's largest publisher of interactive games, and Emergent Game Technologies, a leading game development technology and services provider, today announced Shanda has licensed Emergent technology for multi-game, multi-platform development. The agreement is the largest transaction of its kind in Asia to date for Emergent Game Technologies.
