Sega has confirmed its product line-up for next week's Leipzig Games Convention, which will be led by next-gen Sonic, Virtua Tennis and PC sequel Medieval II: Total War.

Sega is determined to highlight the broad spectrum of forthcoming titles in its portfolio, which will be available on multiple current generation platforms and all three next-gen consoles.

The full line-up includes Yakuza on PlayStation 2, plus Sonic The Hedgehog and Virtua Tennis 3 on the Xbox 360 - all of which will be playable in public for the first time.

Sega will also MMORPG Phantasy Star Universe on PS2, Xbox 360 and PC, Sonic's debut PSP title, Sonic Rivals, and movie licensed family entertainment title, Charlotte's Web.

Anusch Mahadjer, Sega Germany's marketing director, commented: "The 2006 Games Convention is a perfect stage for our constantly growing line-up of unique games. We will offer countless Total War fans an opportunity to see the quality of the Rome sequel Medieval II for themselves, we will show our most lavish PS2 production Yakuza at our booth, and we will demonstrate Sonic, Virtua Tennis 3 and Charlotte's Web in order to address gamers of all ages."

Behind closed doors, Sega will also be offering specialist press a more intimate presentation of forthcoming titles such as Sega Rally, Full Auto 2: Battlelines, Virtua Tennis 3 and Sonic The Hedgehog on PlayStation 3. The line-up will also include Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz and Sonic and the Secret Rings, previously known as Sonic Wildfire, for Nintendo's Wii.

Sega can be found in Hall 5, booth F 11 and in the Business Centre Hall 2, booth I 60.
