SEGA Appoints Sean Ratcliffe Vice President Of Marketing

SAN FRANCISCO (March 12, 2008) - SEGA® of America, Inc. announced today that it has named Sean Ratcliffe vice president of marketing effective March 3, 2008. Mr. Ratcliffe brings to SEGA more than 15 years of experience in successfully building mass-market brands and growing video game businesses for major global entertainment companies including Disney Interactive Studios, LEGO Interactive and EA SPORTS.

A seasoned executive, Mr. Ratcliffe will serve as a key member of SEGA of America's senior management team and will oversee product marketing, advertising and public relations. Reporting directly to Simon Jeffery, president and COO of SEGA of America, Mr. Ratcliffe will manage SEGA of America's marketing group, continuing the company's strategy of developing the right games for the right platforms. SEGA's approach of publishing a balanced mix of original IP and licensed properties, as well as tapping its own IP vault of enduring brands, has created successful titles such as Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, which has sold more than five million copies worldwide.

"Sean's impressive accomplishments include managing the worldwide launch of hit titles like Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone, the multi-million unit-seller, as well as playing a key role in Disney Interactive's impressive market share growth," said Jeffery. "These achievements, coupled with his proven ability to work on a worldwide scale, make Sean a fantastic asset at a global company like SEGA."

Mr. Ratcliffe most recently was the marketing director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region of Disney Interactive Studios, where he successfully launched such titles as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, the hit original IP Spectrobes, and most recently Turok published by Touchstone. Previously, Mr. Ratcliffe spent eight years with Electronic Arts Europe which included serving as the European marketing director and as the worldwide franchise director for Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone.
