The SEC is currently running over 100 investigations to uncover whether companies have manipulated stock option prices given to top executives.

Publishers THQ and Activision have also received requests from the SEC to supply documents and information related to stock option grant practices.

A statement from the publisher revealed that, "on September 14th EA received an informal inquiry from the Securities and Exchange Commission requesting certain documents and information relating to EA's stock option grant practices from January 1st 1997 to the present."
