SCi extends US distribution deal with Take Two

British publisher SCi Games has announced an extension to its successful North American partnership with Take Two Interactive, covering major forthcoming titles including Conflict: Global Terror and Carmageddon.

British publisher SCi Games has announced an extension to its successful North American partnership with Take Two Interactive, covering major forthcoming titles including Conflict: Global Terror and Carmageddon.

Under the terms of the new deal, SCi's products will be handled by Take Two's new publishing label 2K Games, which only came into existence last month and has already announced the high profile signing of Firaxis' Civilisation franchise.

The three games covered by this most recent agreement are the next Conflict title, Conflict: Global Terror, the resurrection of the Carmageddon franchise, and the British firm's game based on Quentin Tarantino's cult movie Reservoir Dogs.

Both of the former titles are due to arrive this autumn, while Reservoir Dogs will be putting in an appearance in 2006, and all three are scheduled for "console and PC" - with exact target platforms yet to be determined.

"We are very pleased to again be working with SCi and building on the successes of this partnership," commented 2K Games' senior VP of publishing Christoph Hartmann. "All three of these titles illustrate 2K Games' commitment to producing high quality games from proven franchises and exciting licenses."
