Saitek launches the P2600 Rumble PC game pad and P2900 Wireless PC game pad.

Bristol, 7 March, 2006 - Saitek (www.saitek.com) today announced the launch of the new Saitek P2600 Rumble PC Game Pad and P2900 Wireless PC Game Pad.

The P2600 and P2900 have been developed in response to feedback from PC gamers and feature the excellent design and ergonomics for which Saitek is renowned. The P2600 Rumble PC Game Pad uses the very latest Rumble Force technology to deliver varied and realistic responses to in-game action; the P2900 Wireless PC Game Pad features full 2.4 GHz wireless RF technology, giving gamers the freedom to move about without the restrictions of traditional cables, and without interference from other wireless devices. Powered by a single AA battery, the P2900 gives up to fifty-hours of continuous play.

Both pads feature smooth-control dual analog joysticks, 8-way D-Pad, eight conveniently positioned buttons and four easy reach rapid-fire shoulder triggers for total control, allowing every game to be played in comfort. The P2600 and P2900 also offer improved grip and backlit controls, making button selection easier in low light environments, and the pads are fully programmable using Saitek's Smart Technology Software to deliver the complex functionality demanded by the most dedicated PC gamer.

The four shoulder triggers and control layout make the P2600 and P2900 immediately familiar to casual gamers who come from a console gaming background, while the FPS button - a new development in Saitek game pad design - also gets them instantly into first-person gaming by loading a pre-programmed software profile to configure the pad controls. FPS games continue to be one of the most popular game genres and the Saitek P2600 and P2900 are the perfect pads to play them with. Gamers no longer need to rely on a separate mouse (typically used for movement control or point-of-view control) to play their first person shooters or role playing games, as all mouse functionality is available using the pad controls.

Commenting on the launch of the P2600 and P2900, Rob Handoll, Saitek Product Manager, said: "For our new PC pad range we've improved materials, refined the positioning and action of existing features such as joysticks and buttons, added backlighting and additional shoulder triggers, and also included the new FPS button feature - a first in PC game pad design. With the launch of the P2600 Rumble Force and P2900 Wireless pads, we now offer a complete range of game pads for every kind of use, all designed specifically to make PC gameplay more seamless."

The P2600 and P2900 have RRPs of £24-99 and £29-99 respectively and are available from Comet and the Saitek online store (www.saitek.com/uk).

About Saitek:

Saitek entered the Electronic Chess and Intelligent Games Market in 1979 and rapidly became the market leader - a position the company retains today.

In the early 1990s, Saitek diversified into PC Peripherals, developing and manufacturing high-end products with the emphasis on quality, design and innovation. Saitek launched its first PC Game Controller in 1994 and by 2004 had taken the number two worldwide position, dominating the flight simulation sector. The range was broadened to include products such as the award-winning Cyborg joystick, X52 Flight Control System and a range of award-winning PC gamepads.

A further expansion led Saitek into developing a Mobile Solutions range, designed to improve and enhance computing in the home, office and on the move. These products focus on Input, Connectivity and Multimedia.

Building on its experience of interaction with PCs, in 2005 Saitek launched a range of simple, innovative and practical, Hi Fidelity audio products. These products give the user the freedom to listen to music where they want and how they want and, above all, to take control of their digital entertainment environment.
