Rumour: Perpetual out as Star Trek MMO developer

P2 Entertainment, formerly known as Perpetual Entertainment, has ceased development on Star Trek Online according to multiple sources

P2 Entertainment, formerly known as Perpetual Entertainment, has ceased development on Star Trek Online according to multiple sources.

WarCry is reporting that the license and the game's content have been transferred to another San Francisco Bay Area development studio. Perpetual originally acquired the license for a Star Trek MMO back in 2004.

P2 Entertainment will continue to license their technology platform and refocus on the casual games market.

Last year, Perpetual was sued by Kohnke Communications for breach of contract related to a PR campaign for Gods and Heroes. The company reportedly canceled that project reportedly in order to focus on Star Trek Online.
