Rulers of Nations

Geo-political strategy sim in the shops this September, so find out how it measures up then.

London, United Kingdom – July 22nd, 2010 -- Rulers of Nations, the geo-political PC simulation created by Eversim LLC, is all set to empower players and allow them to emulate world leaders. How would you solve major world issues such as Afghanistan? What about Ahmadinejad’s nuclear ambitions for Iran? And, nearer to home, how would you deal with the credit crunch and restart the stumbling economy? Rulers of Nations is about to give you the chance to find out...

Rulers of Nations creator Eversim has completely rebuilt its powerful, ultra realistic geo-political game engine so that it now includes new cause-and-effect challenges such as: managing refugees after a regional catastrophe, colonising countries, and buying black market weapons. The player is also required to deal with the growing issue of researching and securing sustainable energy sources, whether renewable types, such as wind and solar, or cheaper but more controversial processes such as deep-sea oil drilling.

Having to balance economic, military, social and environmental issues is not easy, and deciding which route to global supremacy you take is a key part of the strategy. Economic and military wars can be decisive, but more subtle routes are often more effective. Spying and espionage may be frowned upon, but forging alliances with your enemy’s enemy will always reap rewards.

In Rulers of Nations players can take part in solo campaigns, or lock horns with up to 16 other online leaders where you choose whether other human or AI leaders are your state’s friends or foe.

Rulers of Nations is played on a detailed 3D world map that shows 192 countries, and 8,000 cities, in a visually stimulating user interface, complete with multiple windows and on-screen video inserts. Each country has current data on 400 key factors (economics, energy, monetary, military etc.) based on current data from 50 international organisations including the United Nations, G20, NATO, NAFTA and OPEC.

To add further realism, 3D renders of the major real world leaders are included so now you can dialogue and look directly into the whites of their eyes. Who will blink first?

Rulers of Nations will hit stores in September on DVD-ROM format and online in digital format. The game will be localised in to English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Russian.
