Reckon you can bend it like Beckham? Spinning your wheels at home? Are you gods gift to gamers? Got the moves but nowhere to show them off?

British fashion label Joystick Junkies is searching for gamers to come and show the UK what they’re made of, win cash for charity and a bucket load of prizes for themselves, at the new monthly games tournament Trueplayerz launching Sunday September

LONDON - 08/09/05

Sponsored by UK Online, Trueplayerz offers everyone the chance to play new games, score great prizes (including a year's free 8 Mb broadband from UK Online) and win cash for the charity of their choice. The unique concept behind Trueplayerz is that the winner of each tournament decides where the money goes. It's as simple as that.

You'll be able to drive, kick, shoot or score your way to stardom, as music and entertainment channel, TMF, will be filming at Trueplayerz on Sunday 25th September. TMF will also be screening an exclusive preview of the brand new TV series Game One, airing every Sunday at 3.30pm. The channel will be giving an exclusive Game One iPod cover to all competitors.

Trueplayerz is committed to bringing people the hottest new games and have signed up four of the autumn's top new releases as the official Trueplayerz tournament titles;

Gamers will be able to test their driving skills to the limit with Burnout Revenge, the latest smash hit lifestyle release which straps gamers in to the most dangerous racer on the road.

If you're following in the footsteps of Rooney then FIFA 2006 will give you the total football experience and with even more responsive gameplay it's set to be one of the hits of Trueplayerz. Don't miss this month's Game School session with FIFA 2006 champion Paul Gordon showing off some hot tips and tricks.

Fancy some extreme battlefield moments? Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is the game that will drop you in the heat of modern day combat. Already a hit on PC this will be an exclusive chance for gamers to compete on the new Xbox & PS2 version.

Finally Capcom Fighting Jam will give everyone who's wanted to be a Jackie Chang or Bruce Lee the chance to get some martial moves on his or her friends. It's the ultimate 2D brawler and lets players face off characters from Capcom's famous Street Fighter series of games.

The Trueplayerz tournament is being played out on four big screens whilst the sound will be pumped through the awesome state of the art Marquee Club sound system so if you think you've got something to show off bring your friends! Trueplayerz is awarding a top prize for the gamer that brings the biggest crew of supporters (spectators name a player they are supporting on entry). There will also be loads of game pods to try out all the top games from a range of games companies (see website for details).

Players will pick one of the four games to compete on and all four finalists will play off on a mystery game! Competitors are assigned an hour during which they play a number of rounds on their chosen game to qualify for the finals. As competitors win certain stages they claim prizes including free games and t-shirts whilst the grand final winner will be walking away with a free year of 8 Mb broadband from UK Online worth over £400 plus a load of other top new games and prizes.
