QUAZAL 2007 – What a year!

New product versions, major titles launch, international expansion and new major licensees – 2007 is the most successful year in company's history

Montreal, Canada (January 30, 2008) - Quazal, makers of the award-winning Net-Z, Rendez-Vous and Spark! online multiplayer middleware today announced that the firm has achieved a record year regarding revenues, earnings and new licensees in its fiscal year 2007 ended December 31.

The online middleware specialist has more than doubled its annual turnover and achieved its most successful business year ever in 9 years of existence. This has been driven by upgraded product versions, the firm's successful execution of its international expansion strategy, the successful launch of major titles and a continuously growing number of new license deals at home and abroad.

In addition with continuing expansion in North America, Quazal further developed its European presence and signed a top-tier Japanese publisher. With additional employees at its Montreal (Canada) headquarters to increase development, support and offer on-site technical services worldwide, new product versions to support next-generation platforms and the opening of another datacenter, Quazal is on its way to further increase its market share in Europe, Asia and North America.

"With the addition of multiple major titles to our hosted lobby services, 2007 was a record year for our operations as we more than tripled the number of game sessions served to date and added more than 3 million users", says Henry Ryan, Chief Operations Officer. "We expect this trend to accelerate in 2008 with live operations of even more AAA titles."

"Since its formation in 1998, Quazal has experienced continuous growth, financed through revenues and venture capital funding, and is operating profitably", says Sylvain Beaudry, president at Quazal. "Thanks both to our loyal long-term customers and the many new licensees in 2007, we now expect to exceed the ambitious goals we have set ourselves for this year. We would like to express our sincerest thanks to all our customers and partners we have successfully been working with in the last few years."
