Sony US has priced its first-party peripherals ahead of the launch of the PlayStation 3.

Sony US has priced its first-party peripherals ahead of the launch of the PlayStation 3.

The controller, dubbed Sixaxis, will retail for USD 49.99 (EUR 39). The bluetooth-based controller will have a 20-metre wireless range, and charges its batteries using a supplied USB cable.

Due for release in December, Blu-ray remote controls will be priced at US$ 24.99 (EUR 20), while an adaptor to transfer PlayStation 2 games saves will sell for USD 14.99 (EUR 12).

Although both the 20GB and 60GB versions of the console include HDMI support, to make use of this feature consumers will need to buy the official HDMI cable for USD 49.99 (EUR 39).

The console itself is due for release on November 17th, priced at USD 499 (EUR 395) for the 20GB model and USD 599 (EUR 475) for the 60GB version.
