Polish vets form 11 Bit Studios

Team comprised of former CD Projekt and Metropolis Software staff

Polish game designers with experience at CD Projekt and Metropolis Software have formed a new development company, 11 Bit Studios.

The team intends to focus on high quality digitally distributed titles, having previously worked on games for Ubisoft, Atari, Interplay and Monolith.

"The games industry is constantly changing, and there is a tremendous opportunity for independent developers to succeed and to push the boundaries of gameplay on digital platforms," commented Grzegorz Miechowski, managing director.

"We're going to create games that introduce unique gameplay mechanics, carry high production values and are, most importantly, fun for both hardcore gamers and more casual players.

Details of the company's first title are due to be revealed shortly.
