Pocket God

Episode 20 flown in, with the help of a pooping dodo.

SAN FRANCISCO - July 9, 2009

Bolt Creative today announced the availability of the latest update for their iPhone game Pocket God, the runaway hit which allows iPhone owners to watch over and/or mistreat the inhabitants of a remote island. Episode 20, entitled ‘Flipping the Bird,’ brings a new, airborne visitor to the island – a flying dodo.

The arrival of the dodo presents two new opportunities for aspiring deities: they can choose to toss the bird on the inhabitants’ cooking fire and present them with a tasty (or burnt) feast, or they can compel the beast to relieve itself – strategically. To that end, a new challenge dares Pocket God players to drop as many bird turds on their charges’ heads as they can without missing.

“I’m truly pleased with the ‘bird poop’ mechanic, and our artist Allan Dye did an excellent job with the texture, animation and overall look’n’feel of the turd,” said Dave Castelnuovo of Bolt Creative. “It’s this kind of innovation that sets Pocket God ahead of the pack in iPhone gaming.”

The game can be accessed in the iTunes App Store by pointing your browser to www.linktoapp.com/PocketGod
