San Antonio, TX - Pandora's Mighty Soldiers (PMS Clan) have picked up notable female Quake player Jamie "Missy" Pereyda, reigning female Ms. QuakeCon champion and former Girlz of Destruction (g0d) member, for the 2007 tournament season. This is part of a series of moves by the PMS Clan in efforts of supporting growth and awareness of its current PC division and women in gaming.
Now known to the gaming world as PMS Missy, the PMS Clan organization is excited to add her to their premier PRO female gaming players. "I'm really excited about joining with PMS, I feel like they're just one big family, and I want to be apart of that too!" says Jamie. Missy currently resides in the San Jose CA while she attends the prestigious University of California Berkeley. "This is an exciting step for us, and we are excited to begin our sponsorship support for our PC division with the introduction of PMS Missy to our community," states Amber Dalton, PMS Clan leader and co-founder. "As we are already recognized for great achievements in our console divisions and teams, it only makes sense to acquire someone of Missy's amazing talents, achievements, and positive nature so we can start building our creditability in the PC arena as well.
PMS Clan also will be debuting a new PRO female Quake player in this year, Rebecca "PMS Iris" Butcher. PMS Iris has been with the organization for almost a year, training for her professional debut. Both PMS Missy and PMS Iris will be attending the WSVG and QuakeCon events in the 2007 season, backed by PMS Clan's title sponsor Verizon FiOS, as well as sponsors Patriot Memory and PlayLinc. PMS Clan continues to support several of the gaming community's top female players/teams in most major tournaments events across the globe. With 20-25 sponsored female players/teams, they are staying true to their continual efforts of getting women recognition in professional gaming.
