Pinch

iPhone puzzler gets "Zoom!" update which does precisely that.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Guisborough, North Yorkshire, England – 3rd September 2010. Coatsink Software has today announced the release date of their latest major update for iPhone/iPod Touch puzzle game Pinch ( http://bit.ly/bVfoMW). The release date is confirmed as Wednesday 8th September. The update, called Zoom! (Update 1.3), features a rebuilt game engine which improves performance, visuals and adds a much-requested zoom mechanic. The zoom mechanic allows players to pinch the screen to zoom in and out of each level, giving a greater chance of solving the more difficult puzzles.

The overwhelmingly positive critical response that Pinch has had so far has allowed the developers to continue development of the game. Players will now have the opportunity to purchase additional DLC level packs for the game, which include new Openfeint leaderboards to compete on and Achievements to earn.

There is also a freemium version available, called Pinch Free ( http://bit.ly/9TQUIQ), which gives players access to 24 levels for absolutely nothing.

In addition, the developers are officially announcing development of an iPad-based sequel to Pinch. Development was bolstered recently when the team successfully applied for a new office in the Victoria Business Unit at the University of Teesside in England. The assessment panel stated they were very impressed with Coatsink’s innovation and drive to succeed within the games industry.

Aside from their official website, you can follow Coatsink’s progress on the Pinch Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Pinch/111961768832118), and on Twitter ( http://www.twitter.com/Coatsink).

End.
