PES 6 to hit PC and consoles on October 27

Konami has announced that the sixth instalment in the multi-million selling Pro Evolution Soccer series will be released for PC, PS2 and Xbox 360 on October 27.

Konami has announced that the sixth instalment in the multi-million selling Pro Evolution Soccer series will be released for PC, PS2 and Xbox 360 on October 27.

According to an official statement, the PSP and Nintendo DS versions of the game are set to follow "shortly after".

PES 6 features new player AI, new turns and defensive blocks and a refined shooting system. Other gameplay enhancements include improved dribbling controls, volleys and half-volleys, and the Xbox 360 version is said to feature "massively improved" visuals and audio effects, plus better AI.

New licensed sides will include Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, Olympiacos Piraeus and Manchester United. The game will also feature new licensed kits and squads for Czech, French, Australian, English, Argentinian, Spanish and Swedish national sides.
