Malaysian version of MMORPG to launch "The Legend of Mermaid" expansion later this month.

It is rumoured in the text of old that there was a race forgotten by time. A great race that had been forced to separate themselves from the Perfect Mainland as a result from the greed and hatred of the other races. In the lore of the old, the elusive Nightides resides in the beautiful and wondrous underwater City of Thalassa and no one had ever been able to find this fabled city. As the spell that keeps the Nightides away from the Perfect Mainland weakens in time, the rest of the Perfect World forgets about them.
Just as the tales of City of Thalassa and the Nightides were being washed away by the sands of time, the Nightides emerged from the deep blue. The people of Nightide are in need of help for the evils that had once forced them into hiding are now attacking them again. Discover the Nightides and their power ancient magic. As the Nightides leads you into the City of Thalassa, you will journey into new and wondrous world submerged in the deep blue sea. You will also be introduced to two new Nightide warriors; the Rogue and Magician. Both warriors possess powerful and deadly magic. Skilful and shrewd, these warriors are equipped with powerful weapons that no one had ever fathomed before.
Perfect World: The Legend of Mermaid Expansion Pack
Perfect World’s The Legend of Mermaid will bring players into the whole new world of Thalassa. Discover new maps and locations within this new expansion and play Perfect World from a whole new point of view. Introducing two new playable characters within this expansion pack, The Legend of Mermaid allows players to play as the Nightide’s strongest and deadliest warrior, the Rogue or the clever and manipulative Magician.
Trawl City of Thalassa and find new and interesting weapons for your character. You will see Perfect World in a whole new light. With new quests and skill sets, the Nightides will set to be a challenge for old Perfect World players.
A Whole New Server: Fantasia
To accommodate the expansion pack, Perfect World Malaysia has set up a new server called Fantasia. Meet old and new friends in this brand new server. Existing players can enjoy the challenge of building up their characters from scratch and new players will be able to experience and enjoy the Perfect World phenomenon with the addition of the new maps, characters, skills and weapons.
Competitions for players with virtual items and cash prizes to be won will be held in Fantasia to help new players on the block level their characters. Watch this space!
