PAX pre-registration now open

The organisers of the Penny Arcade Expo have announced that pre-registration has begun for the fifth annual gaming festival

The organisers of the Penny Arcade Expo have announced that pre-registration has begun for the fifth annual gaming festival.

From now through March 31, attendees can save 20 per cent off the show badge price by pre-registering at the web site. Pre-registrants are also eligible to compete in the annual Omegathon gaming competition.

Since its inception in 2004, the show has doubled in size year-over-year. Last year's program of playable game builds, music concerts and in-depth industry panels drew over 37,000 attendees. This year's PAX is expected to surpass the record.

"We throw what's essentially this giant party every year, and we feel incredibly grateful that the community has really embraced the show," said Penny Arcade's Robert Khoo. "With the content we're already planning for 2008, we think it's going to be the best year ever."

Further information on this year's exhibitors and events will be released in February.

PAX 2008 takes place August 29 -31 in Seattle, Washington.
