PAX East discount period to end soon

Plus Boston event to allow indie developers to showcase their work for free

The organisers of the PAX East event, which is taking place from March 26-28 in Boston, US, have issued a reminder that the early bird discount price period is set to end on December 31.

After that date tickets will rise, with one-day passes going up from USD 25 to USD 35, while three-day passes will jump from USD 45 to USD 55.

Additionally it has been announced that the Indie Showcase will allow independent developers from Boston to showcase their work on the show floor for free.

"There are lots of creative people funding development out of personal savings, loans from family and even cash advances on their credit cards just to get their game made," said Robert Khoo of Penny Arcade. "To all of those young studios we are saying, 'If you have a kick-ass game. PAX East is going to give you the chance to promote your title to the community.'"
