Paradox Interactive launches indie label

Small titles to be offered through digital distribution later this year

Publisher Paradox Interactive has announced the launch of a new label, Mezmer Games, focused on bringing indie games to digital distribution.

The titles will run the full gamut of genres and styles, with costs ranging between USD 9.99 - USD 19.99. Strategy titles Legio and Stalin vs Martians, will be the first games offered under the label and are slated for a second quarter release this year.

"There are so many high-quality titles out there that show a great deal of potential but never reach the gamers," comments Fredrik Wester, EVP at Paradox.

"Our intention is to be a platform for great games that traditional publishers do not want to invest their time and money in. By exclusively releasing the products digitally, we'll be to deliver many niche and developing titles to an audience that would otherwise be unable to purchase the products."
