Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

First PC closed tournament to take place between two professional esports teams.

7th October 2009 (Huntingdon, UK) – Heaven Media are pleased to announce the first ever competitive tournament for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

Players from professional esports teams Reason Gaming and Team Dignitas will clash with one another, and tossed in the mix are some of our very own staff from Heaven Media. They will battle it out over three different game nights to determine who will crown themselves the champions.

This closed tournament will showcase this new and exciting game and highlight some of its key features. You can certainly expect blogs, videos and more to come online once the finals have been completed and we are sure to see more Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising tournaments in the future!

“Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is a great new game that we’ve been really excited about, and we’re excited to be able to boast the world’s first esports tournament for this title!” said Adam Bignell, Esports Heaven management. “It will be a great way to kick start the interest of the community, with two top organisations already supporting teams, and we look forward to more tournaments for this game in the future!”

This tournament will span three nights, with the first semi-final played on Wednesday October 7th, the second on Thursday October 8th, and the grand final played on Sunday October 11th.
