Oban Star Racers anime going mobile

DeValley teams with Sav! The World on forthcoming racer

DeValley Entertainment and Sav! The World productions have announced the upcoming release of Oban Star Racers, based on the popular anime series of the same name.

Due out on more than 300 handsets, the game features all the characters from the first part of the anime and the chance to participate in ten races.

The anime - about an intergalactic racing series that takes place once every 10,000 years - was originally designed for children aged between 7 and 12 but its creators add that it's proven popular among older teens and anime fans of all ages.

Originally conceived by Savin Yeatman-Eiffel, it's a Franco-Japanese property mostly produced in Tokyo, and has picked up several anime awards in recent months.

French publisher DeValley currently offers a range of mobile games including Knight Tales and Sudoku QI Training.
