Nokia N-Gage Puts Gaming Enthusiasts In A Spin At The UK's Largest Pinball Show

Nokia N-Gage today announced its sponsorship of the country's biggest convention for Pinball enthusiasts.

Pinball retains its position as one of the most popular computer games formats and the chance to play full size machines is very rare. For the third year running, the handset manufacturer will be headline sponsor of the UK Pinball Show, which moves this year to Wicksteed Park near Birmingham.

The new venue allows space for over 100 pinball machines, with enthusiasts from across the country competing in the open tournament, to earn a place in the World Pinball Player Rankings.

This year's show will be the biggest yet and the new theme park venue will see the show offer something for all the family with fun rides, pool tables, air-hockey and table football, alongside the full size pinball tables. There will even be a special kids' tournament for Under-16s.

Mark Squires, Director of Communications at Nokia UK said, "Nokia is delighted to support the UK Pinball Show for the third year running - not only is this a fantastic event for gaming enthusiasts, but we're proud to be a part of a show that has raised over £4,000 for worthy charities.

"The 2007 event, at its new venue, will be even bigger and better as the popularity of both retro and mobile gaming continues to rise.

"And for those who can't make it to the show, Nokia's Mile High Pinball is just one of the games available through the N-Gage online platform, allowing mobile gamers to play wherever they are."

The UK Pinball Show will be held at The Wicksteed Park Pavillion near Birmingham from September 29th - 30th.
