No change in US PC chart as Lich King still dominates

No new entries and little movement as market awaits The Sims 3

With the release of The Sims 3 around the corner, there has been predictably little change in NPD's list of the top ten selling PC games in the US, with expansion pack World Of WarCraft: Wrath of the Lich King still at number one.

For the week ended May 16, The Sims 2: Double Deluxe (a bundle of the original game and two expansion packs) remained at number two, with Creative Assembly's Empire: Total War moving up three places to number three.

World of WarCraft: Battle Chest (a bundle including the original game, expansion pack The Burning Crusade and two strategy guides) moved up one place to number four, with Valve's zombie co-op shooter Left 4 Dead down two places to number five.

EA's Spore was up one place to number six, with the original World of WarCraft release down three places to number seven. Role-playing game compilation Fallout Trilogy was a non-mover at number eight, while Bethesda's Fallout 3 re-entered the top ten at number nine - the closest thing to a new entry in the chart.

Expansion pack The Sims 2: Apartment Life was a non-mover at number ten. The Sims 3 is due for release in the US on June 2 and is expected to be the most significant new PC release of the year so far.
